The new Portal Bar designed by the Swedish architecture studio Claeesson Koivisto Rune has been inaugurated  during the Stockholm Design Week, the most important Scandinavian design week of the year (February, 4th-10th 2019). The bar has been opened next to the Portal Restaurant, a well-known place which opened back in 2016 under the helm of chef Klas Lindber, which is famous for  the combination of French and Nordic elements.

The Portal Bar has been decorated in dark hues to contrast the blonde and bright interiors of the already established Portal Restaurant next door. It provides a more casual location where guests can eat on small plates and drink Nordic craft beers, cocktails, or biodynamic wines.

Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto e Ola Rune have engaged the Swedish artist Jesper Waldersten, which depicts abstract faces and fish-like creatures on the dark blue walls.

An additional Nordic touch is provided  by Colombo Design LUND handles – Graphite Mat finish – designed by the Swedish architecture studio Claeesson Koivisto Rune back in 2016 and assembled on the interior doors of the bar.
